What you'll do:

• Execute the overarching IT strategy for the Taiwan office, ensuring seamless integration with global directives while tailoring solutions to meet local business objectives.
• Provide thoughtful leadership to the IT team by fostering an environment of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning.
• Oversee the full lifecycle management of critical business applications such as Business Intelligence (BI), Point of Sale (POS), and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ensuring optimal performance and user satisfaction.
• Collaborate closely with various business units to understand their operational needs, identifying opportunities for technology-driven enhancements that streamline processes and drive efficiency.
• Lead stakeholder engagement efforts by building strong relationships with local leadership, department heads, and key decision-makers to ensure IT initiatives are aligned with strategic priorities.
• Translate complex business requirements into actionable IT projects, managing intake processes and ensuring successful delivery in line with both local goals and global standards.
• Act as a trusted advisor by facilitating issue resolution, championing the adoption of new technologies, and communicating the value of IT services across all levels of the organisation.
• Work hand-in-hand with regional and global IT teams to represent Taiwan’s interests in enterprise-wide projects, advocating for local relevance while adhering to established frameworks.
• Drive change management initiatives related to new system deployments, ensuring smooth transitions through effective communication, training, and stakeholder buy-in.
• Manage the annual IT budget efficiently by overseeing resource allocation, vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and service level agreements (SLAs) to maximise value.

What you bring:

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field is required; a master’s degree would be considered advantageous for this position.
• At least 10-15 years of progressive experience within Information Technology roles is essential, including 5-7 years in leadership or management positions—preferably within retail, consumer goods or beauty sectors.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing complex IT infrastructure environments encompassing networks, servers, cloud platforms as well as robust cybersecurity frameworks is highly desirable.
• Proven track record overseeing enterprise-level business applications such as SAP, Salesforce or e-commerce platforms is necessary for success in this role.
• Comprehensive understanding of IT governance principles including risk management practices and compliance requirements is expected from candidates applying for this position.
• Experience partnering with business leaders on cross-functional projects involving regional or global stakeholders is crucial for effective stakeholder management.
• Outstanding communication skills are required—both written and verbal—with fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English being essential for daily operations.
• Exceptional interpersonal abilities are needed to foster trust-based relationships across diverse teams while articulating complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Relevant certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, ITIL Foundation/Practitioner status, PMP accreditation or CISSP qualification are highly regarded; cloud certifications like AWS or Azure are also beneficial.
