Responsible for physical tasks in IDC environments, including server rack installation and structured cabling. Design, deploy, and operate Linux servers.

What will you do:

As a system engineer, you will be responsible for the design, construction, and daily maintenance of various infrastructure in the data center in the Taipei office, including server installation and cabling, large-scale storage system management, automated process promotion, and other diverse tasks. At the same time, you also need to actively participate in cross-departmental collaboration to jointly solve various challenges in the operational process, such as network security enhancement, capacity planning, or abnormal event handling. In this role, your attentive observation skills and efficient communication skills will help you quickly identify the root cause of problems and come up with effective solutions. • Responsible for physical operations such as server cabinet installation and wiring in the data center to ensure the stable operation of hardware facilities.
• Design, build, and operate Linux servers to support the smooth execution of various critical services.
• Plan and manage large-scale NAS storage and object storage systems, including capacity estimation and scaling strategies.
• Perform visual analysis of infrastructure operational issues (e.g., network, server, storage, security) and propose improvement plans.
• Handle server and storage-related troubleshooting, including investigating, resolving, reporting, and suggesting improvements if necessary.
• Responsible for operational abnormal incident response, incident management, and audit review response.
• Assist in infrastructure automation (such as Infra As Code) and improve management efficiency with tools like Shell Script, Ansible, Git, and more.
• Participate in requirements definition and infrastructure architecture design to ensure that the system meets business needs and future scalability.
• Support backup system design and construction, as well as departmental technical support work.

• With more than ten years of experience in server management, he can independently handle various hardware and software issues.
• Familiar with Linux server design, construction, maintenance, and operation processes, with practical experience.
• Participated in the design, build, and operation of large-scale NAS storage or object storage products.
• Experience operating services in highly mission-critical environments to withstand pressure and maintain consistent performance.
• Understand the structure of the physical layer of the data center (e.g., network, server, storage) and have relevant construction or operational experience.
• Familiar with infrastructure automation (Infra As Code), Shell Script, Ansible, Git, and other tool applications.
• Knowledge of networking, including technical principles such as routing, firewalls, load balancers, CDNs, and VPNs.
• Good written and oral communication skills in Chinese and English, and can smoothly coordinate the affairs of multinational teams.
