What you'll do:

As a Senior DevOps Software Engineer, you will be at the heart of developing and maintaining essential cloud services that power seamless wireless experiences globally. Your day-to-day activities will involve designing deployment infrastructures using state-of-the-art automation tools, building efficient CI/CD pipelines, managing version control strategies, and collaborating with talented colleagues across multiple disciplines. You will also contribute to program development by delivering high-value solutions that support both internal teams and external partners. Success in this position requires not only technical expertise but also a passion for teamwork, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement. By joining this team, you will help shape the future of connectivity while enjoying ample opportunities for professional growth within a nurturing environment.

  • Develop and troubleshoot robust cloud services on AWS to ensure reliable operation and optimal performance for users worldwide.
  • Design and implement deployment infrastructure using tools such as Terraform and Ansible to support scalable cloud service operations.
  • Create and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines leveraging AWS and Jenkins to streamline software delivery processes.
  • Manage version control systems including Git, supporting effective branch strategies for collaborative development.
  • Collaborate closely with development and quality assurance teams to enhance CI/CD workflows and improve overall software quality.
  • Support program development initiatives by providing high-value solutions that enable self-certification business processes.
  • Monitor system health using advanced monitoring tools, proactively identifying issues before they impact service delivery.
  • Automate IT frameworks to increase efficiency, reduce manual intervention, and promote best practices across the engineering team.
  • Contribute to the design of infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions that facilitate rapid deployment and scalability of cloud resources.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings with technical experts from member companies to drive industry-visible efforts aligned with the mission of universal connectivity.

What you bring:

To excel as a Senior DevOps Software Engineer in this organisation, your background should include extensive hands-on experience managing cloud-based environments—particularly on AWS—and deep familiarity with modern automation tools. Your proven track record in deploying scalable infrastructure solutions will be complemented by strong skills in scripting languages such as Python or Bash. You bring an analytical mindset when it comes to troubleshooting networked systems, along with practical knowledge of Linux administration. Experience building robust CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins will allow you to streamline software delivery processes efficiently. Familiarity with containerisation technologies like Kubernetes or Docker further strengthens your profile. Additionally, your ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams—combined with excellent written and verbal communication skills—will ensure your ideas are clearly understood by both technical peers and non-technical stakeholders alike. A Bachelor’s degree in Information Science/Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.

  • A minimum of eight years’ experience in technical roles involving cloud service management or related fields is required for success in this position.
  • Proven expertise in managing and troubleshooting complex environments on AWS is essential for ensuring reliable service delivery.
  • Comprehensive understanding of IP networking principles enables you to design resilient infrastructure solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux operating systems such as Ubuntu allows you to efficiently manage server environments.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in creating Jenkins CI/CD pipelines empowers you to automate software build and deployment processes effectively.
  • Experience with log processing and analysis equips you to monitor system health and resolve issues proactively.
  • Familiarity with container technologies like Kubernetes or Docker is highly valued as it enhances your ability to deploy scalable applications (nice to have).
  • Knowledge of monitoring systems such as Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, or ELK adds value by enabling proactive system oversight (nice to have).
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) development ensures rapid provisioning of resources through automation tools like Terraform or CDK.
  • Comfortable working with automation IT frameworks such as Ansible helps streamline operational tasks across environments.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages including Python or Bash supports efficient task automation within diverse systems.
  • Solid understanding of version control practices using Git facilitates collaborative software development among distributed teams.
  • Possession of an AWS DevOps certification is considered advantageous (nice to have).
