As a Database Administrator based in Taipei, you will be entrusted with the responsibility of safeguarding the organisation’s data infrastructure. Your day-to-day activities will involve close collaboration with cross-functional teams to design robust SQL programs that underpin stable online services. You will proactively monitor system health, develop scripts for operational efficiency, and provide expert support during audits. Your ability to troubleshoot deployment issues swiftly will help maintain uninterrupted service delivery. By participating in on-call rotations, you will demonstrate your commitment to supporting both internal stakeholders and external customers whenever challenges arise. • Perform essential operations to ensure compliance with all relevant laws, rules, and regulations while maintaining the integrity of database systems.
• Troubleshoot application deployments by reproducing issues, discussing solutions with colleagues, and resolving problems related to service stability to prevent recurrence.
• Communicate effectively and collaborate with front-end developers, back-end developers, and project managers to design efficient SQL programs that guarantee stable online service performance and robust security.
• Proactively maintain and monitor database architecture to ensure optimal health and reliability of all systems under your care.
• Develop comprehensive database scripts for operational tasks such as de-identification of sensitive data and automated backups to safeguard information assets.
• Provide timely support for government audit tasks as required, ensuring all requests are handled with accuracy and professionalism.
• Participate willingly in on-call rotations to provide dependable support during critical incidents or periods of heightened activity.
• Apply in-depth experience with MySQL and MSSQL instances, including related high availability solutions, to manage complex environments effectively.
• Run and maintain 24x7 production environments, demonstrating commitment to service continuity and rapid response when needed.
• Utilise extensive hands-on experience in troubleshooting complex SQL queries and tuning DB cluster performance for maximum efficiency.
