Save job

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a DevOps Lead to join a forward-thinking organisation in Taipei, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of global collaboration technology. Reporting directly to the R&D Director and working closely with an international DevOps Group, this position offers you the chance to define and implement best-in-class DevOps blueprints, processes, and policies across a thriving R&D environment.

As a DevOps Lead based in Taipei, you will be entrusted with defining strategic direction for DevOps practices on both a global scale and within the local R&D organisation. Your day-to-day activities will involve designing robust blueprints that set the standard for process excellence while ensuring their effective implementation through close collaboration with engineering teams. You will take charge of Build Management IT infrastructure operations, guaranteeing optimal performance for Android OS-based products. By managing two dedicated engineers and mentoring a wider community of 'DevOps Champions', you will cultivate an environment where knowledge sharing thrives. Success in this role hinges on your ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives, foster teamwork across disciplines, and maintain high standards of quality throughout every stage of the development lifecycle.

  • Define comprehensive global DevOps blueprints, processes, and policies for the Meeting Experience business unit, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
  • Ensure consistent implementation and compliance with established DevOps standards throughout the local R&D organisation in Taipei.
  • Drive ongoing improvements in CI/CD pipelines by introducing new tools, refining existing workflows, and promoting best practices across teams.
  • Take full operational ownership of Build Management IT infrastructure, overseeing its reliability, scalability, and security.
  • Manage and develop a small but highly skilled team of DevOps engineers by providing guidance, support, and regular feedback.
  • Mentor members of the 'DevOps Champion' community within agile teams to foster knowledge sharing and collaborative problem-solving.
  • Optimise systems deployment strategies and testing frameworks to guarantee compatibility and performance for Android OS-based environments.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including software developers, QA engineers, and product managers to ensure seamless integration of DevOps solutions.
  • Monitor emerging trends in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud to identify opportunities for innovation within the organisation.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives by encouraging open communication and supporting training opportunities for all team members.

What you bring:

To excel as a DevOps Lead in this organisation, your background should reflect substantial experience in driving process improvements within large-scale technology environments. Your technical proficiency will enable you to architect reliable CI/CD pipelines tailored for Android OS deployments while leveraging cloud platforms effectively. The ideal candidate brings strong interpersonal abilities that foster trust among colleagues from varied backgrounds. Your commitment to mentoring others ensures that junior engineers feel supported as they grow professionally. Familiarity with Agile principles allows you to adapt quickly to changing requirements while maintaining focus on long-term objectives. A track record of success in multinational contexts demonstrates your capacity for navigating complex organisational structures with sensitivity and respect.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or related field; master’s degree preferred for deeper technical expertise.
  • At least ten years’ experience in DevOps or related roles demonstrating proven capabilities in guiding teams towards successful outcomes.
  • Extensive hands-on expertise with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub CI/CD as well as configuration management platforms like Ansible, Chef or Puppet.
  • Solid understanding of cloud technologies including AWS, Azure or Google Cloud enabling you to design scalable solutions.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills allowing you to communicate clearly with diverse stakeholders while resolving challenges collaboratively.
  • Fluency in both English and Chinese (written and spoken) facilitating effective communication within multinational teams.
  • Experience working within Agile environments combined with practical knowledge of modern DevOps methodologies.
  • Previous exposure to multinational corporate settings is highly desirable as it prepares you for complex stakeholder interactions.
  • Relevant industry certifications (such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or similar) are considered advantageous but not mandatory.
