System Engineer

Our client is seeking a highly skilled System Engineer to join their dynamic team in Taipei. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies, perform daily cybersecurity risk assessments, and execute security projects. You will be responsible for maintaining and managing security equipment, planning and configuring SIEM tools for real-time threat detection, and ensuring a secure network environment.

What you'll do:

• Perform daily cybersecurity risk assessments, reviews, and consultations
• Plan and execute related security projects
• Perform CVE vulnerability patching, system vulnerability analysis, and malware detection for internal systems
• Maintain and manage security equipment, plan and configure SIEM tools for real-time threat detection
• Monitor security incidents, analyze and track security intelligence, conduct log audits
• Manage network security including firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS), DDoS protection
• Plan and manage cloud security utilizing AWS Security Hub, GuardDuty, WAF, Shield, CloudTrail

What you bring:

• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Ability to proactively set goals, plan work, demonstrate strong self-management skills
• Passion for learning new technologies
• Proficiency in operating systems (Windows/Linux) and scripting languages such as PowerShell, Batch Command or Linux Shell
• Experience in VMware virtual environments and containerization concepts like Docker
• Understanding of network protocols, operating systems, server services such as Nginx, databases, proxies, DNS
