Solution Architect

A start-up technology organisation in Taiwan is seeking a Product Solution Architect to join their team and play a pivotal role in integrating diverse monitoring and observability solutions into their platform.

What you'll do:

As a Product Development Solution Architect based in Taiwan, you will be responsible for designing integrated observability solutions that span data collection through visualisation and alerting. Your day-to-day activities will involve developing integrations with industry-leading monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, OpenTelemetry; configuring dashboards; architecting solutions across VMs, Kubernetes clusters, serverless platforms; implementing cloud-based architectures on GCP, AWS, Azure; applying security best practices; automating workflows using Python or Bash; utilising Docker for CI/CD pipelines; engaging with international clients; collaborating with internal teams; sharing knowledge; supporting colleagues; contributing positively to the organisational culture. Success in this role requires you to approach each challenge with empathy for client needs while leveraging your technical expertise to deliver reliable outcomes.

• Design comprehensive end-to-end observability solutions that are customised to meet the unique requirements of each client, ensuring seamless data collection, visualisation, and alerting processes.
• Develop and maintain integrations with third-party monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, OpenTelemetry, enabling unified observability across diverse environments.
• Define and configure meaningful monitoring dashboards and alert rules that provide actionable insights for system reliability and performance optimisation.
• Architect robust solutions across various infrastructure environments including virtual machines (VMs), Kubernetes clusters, and serverless platforms to ensure scalability and resilience.
• Implement observability architectures leveraging major cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Microsoft Azure for maximum flexibility.
• Apply advanced knowledge of CDN technologies and web application firewalls (WAF) like Cloudflare to enhance cloud networking practices while maintaining security best practices.
• Write scripts and develop tooling using Python or Bash to automate deployment, configuration, and integration workflows for efficient operations.
• Utilise Docker and container ecosystems to streamline development pipelines and support continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
• Engage proactively with international clients and internal teams by understanding their needs from multiple perspectives and delivering tailored observability solutions.
• Collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams to share knowledge, support colleagues, and contribute to a positive workplace culture.

Your educational background equips you with strong technical foundations while your hands-on expertise with tools like Prometheus/Grafana/Datadog/OpenTelemetry ensures you can integrate diverse technologies seamlessly. You understand infrastructure platforms—VMs/Kubernetes/serverless—and leverage cloud services (GCP/AWS/Azure) for flexible architectures. Your familiarity with CDN/WAF/cloud networking concepts helps secure deployments while your scripting abilities automate operational tasks efficiently. You communicate confidently in English across cultures/teams; your interpersonal skills foster trust/support among colleagues. Your practical approach enables you to solve problems collaboratively while nurturing positive relationships throughout the organisation.

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Engineering or related field is required for foundational technical understanding.
• Minimum of four years’ experience in DevOps, SRE, Solution Architecture or similar technical roles demonstrates your dependability in complex environments.
• Strong background in DevOps/SRE practices focusing on monitoring, alerting and reliability ensures you can deliver robust solutions.
• Hands-on experience with at least two of Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog or OpenTelemetry enables you to build effective integrations.
• Solid knowledge of infrastructure platforms including VMs, Kubernetes clusters and serverless computing allows you to architect scalable systems.
• Proficiency with major cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS or Azure provides flexibility in solution design.
• Familiarity with CDN technologies and WAFs like Cloudflare enhances your ability to secure deployments.
• Demonstrated awareness of security best practices ensures safe system operations across all environments.
• Advanced scripting skills in Python or Bash enable you to automate deployment workflows efficiently.
• Understanding of Docker/containerisation principles supports streamlined development pipelines for CI/CD processes.
