What you'll do:

As a Business Unit Manager, your role will be central to driving the success of our client's operations in Taipei. You will be responsible for leading the strategic direction of the business unit, ensuring alignment with the overall organisational strategy. Your excellent leadership skills will be utilised as you develop and implement strategic sales plans aimed at expanding the customer base and increasing revenue. Your keen analytical skills will enable you to identify new opportunities and challenges by analysing market trends and competitor activities. You will also oversee key customer relationships, channel partner programs, international supplier relationships, and participate in high-level negotiation meetings.

  • Lead the overall strategic direction of the business unit, aligning it with the overall strategy of the organization
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to expand the customer base and increase revenue
  • Analyse market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and challenges
  • Oversee key customer relationships, channel partner program and international supplier relationships
  • Participate in high-level negotiation meetings with all stakeholders
  • Ensure all sales and marketing programs are communicated, implemented, and coordinated
  • Develop, retain sales representatives in support of achieving business objectives
  • Oversee performance management responsibilities; feedback/coaching, development planning, employee training, objective setting, performance reviews

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Business Unit Manager role will bring a wealth of experience and a strong educational background. You will have at least 5 years of sales experience within a leading medical device or consumable company, with a proven track record in developing distribution agreements to grow the business. Your strong communication skills, particularly in English, will be essential in this role, as well as your proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Your leadership skills should be exceptional, with a proven record of successful people management. Experience in the Taiwan healthcare environment is highly desired, as is proven experience managing a business unit.

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree preferred. Experience will be considered if deemed adequate to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position
  • Minimum 5 years of Sales experience with a leading medical device/consumable company or developing distribution agreements to grow the business
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point etc.
  • Strong motivational, persuasive leadership skills with proven record of successful people management
  • Experience managing sales team and working with distributors
  • Experience in Taiwan healthcare environment is desired
  • Proven experience of managing a business unit and a strong understanding of the medical device business
