Our client is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Business Unit Head to lead their medical device business operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive growth, innovation, and market expansion across the endoscope, glucometer, and auto-injector product lines.

  • What you'll do:

As the Business Unit Head for our client's medical device division, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of their endoscope, glucometer, and auto-injector product lines. Your primary responsibilities will include strategic planning, business development, sales management, R&D management, product management, procurement management, financial management, and team leadership. You will collaborate across departments to ensure effective execution of strategic plans while maintaining strong relationships with key customers and distributors. Your leadership will be instrumental in driving new product development and managing the entire product lifecycle.

  • Develop and implement medium to long-term strategic plans for the Business Unit (BU), ensuring alignment with overall company goals.
  • Explore and develop new market opportunities and partnership relationships.
  • Set and achieve sales targets, leading the sales team to performance growth.
  • Lead the R&D team to drive new product development and improvements to existing products.
  • Manage the product lifecycle from concept development to market launch and ongoing support.
  • Optimize supply chain and procurement processes to ensure cost-effectiveness and supply stability.
  • Responsible for BU budgeting and cost control, ensuring financial goals are met.
  • Recruit, train, and motivate an efficient cross-functional team.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Business Unit Head position brings a wealth of experience in the medical device industry along with strong leadership skills. With at least 20 years of relevant experience under your belt, including over 10 years in management roles within this sector, you possess a deep understanding of the medical device market. Your excellent communication skills enable you to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively across departments. Your ability to adapt and thrive in a rapidly changing environment will be key to your success in this role.

  • Master's degree or above in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 20 years of relevant experience in the medical device industry.
  • Over 10 years in management roles within the medical device industry.
  • Strong business acumen with an in-depth understanding of the medical device market.
  • Excellent leadership skills with proven ability to manage cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a rapidly changing environment.
