A Leading global manufacturer seeks Safety and Health Manager to drive workplace safety and wellbeing at a tissue production facility in Taipei, shaping safety culture, leading improvements, and delivering innovative health initiatives programs.

Key responsibilities:

As Safety and Health Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the welfare of all employees while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. You will lead proactive risk management efforts, foster collaboration across teams, and inspire a culture of safety excellence.

  • Develop and update safety policies to ensure compliance with national and local regulations
  • Conduct risk assessments, implement control measures, and lead incident investigations to identify root causes and prevent recurrence
  • Deliver engaging training programmes that empower employees to take ownership of workplace safety
  • Monitor daily operations for compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards while preparing for internal and external audits
  • Advocate for occupational health initiatives that promote employee wellbeing through screenings, disease prevention campaigns, and lifestyle activities

Candidate profile:

To excel in this role, you bring extensive experience in managing occupational health programmes within manufacturing environments. Your technical expertise is complemented by strong interpersonal skills and a passion for fostering safe workplaces where employees thrive.

  • At least seven years’ experience in occupational safety or environmental health roles within industrial or manufacturing settings
  • A university degree (bachelor’s or master’s) in any discipline; specialisation in related fields is advantageous but not required
  • Fluency in English across listening, speaking, reading, and writing for effective communication with international teams
  • Possession of Class A Occupational Safety Technician or Class A Occupational Health Technician certification is mandatory
  • Proven ability to develop comprehensive safety management systems (e.g., ISO 45001) and conduct root cause analyses during incident investigations
