What you'll do:
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer based in New Taipei City, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of innovative products by leading research and development initiatives from concept through to mass production. Your daily responsibilities will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring new ideas to fruition using advanced modelling tools. You will be instrumental in evaluating structural integrity, overseeing prototype fabrication, and ensuring manufacturing processes are optimised for efficiency. By coordinating with suppliers and managing project timelines, you will help guarantee successful product launches. Your attention to detail will shine as you maintain essential documentation and implement necessary design changes. - Lead the end-to-end process of product design and development, utilising advanced 2D and 3D modelling techniques as well as technical drawing skills to create innovative solutions.
- Conduct thorough structural strength analyses and perform Design for Manufacturing (DFM) evaluations to ensure all designs meet rigorous quality standards.
- Design, fabricate, and review prototypes, optimising each iteration for seamless transition into mass production while maintaining feasibility and efficiency.
- Oversee tooling development processes, manage trial runs, and coordinate New Product Introduction (NPI) activities to facilitate smooth progression from concept to mass production.
- Collaborate closely with suppliers during the research and development phase, effectively managing project schedules to ensure timely delivery of milestones.
- Identify assembly issues on the production line promptly, providing effective countermeasures that minimise disruption and maintain product integrity.
- Continuously review mechanical designs, implementing fresh ideas that drive improvements in performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
- Create and maintain comprehensive Bills of Materials (BOM), manage all technical documentation requirements, and oversee drawing approval workflows.
- Execute Engineering Change Orders (ECO) or Engineering Change Requests (ECR), ensuring all design modifications for mechanical parts are accurately implemented.
