What you'll do: As a Senior Signal Integrity Engineer based in Taipei, you will play a pivotal role in supporting both sales and engineering teams throughout the lifecycle of cable backplane system programmes. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve collaborating with colleagues from various disciplines to define connector solutions that meet specific programme requirements. You will use your expertise in signal integrity to develop strategies for product introduction at new accounts, provide simulations and evaluations of potential topologies, and create tailored approaches for customer pinouts and routing challenges. By sharing your knowledge within an established team of engineers, you will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance workflows. Your involvement extends beyond technical tasks; you will assist customers across different sectors with their high-speed data transmission needs, design next-generation test platforms, support production excellence, resolve PCB layout issues, and verify products through hands-on circuit board design and measurement. Success in this role requires a collaborative mindset, attention to detail, empathy towards customer challenges, and a commitment to ongoing learning. * Support Sales Engineers and Field Application Engineering teams on multiple cable backplane system programmes by assisting in the definition of appropriate connector solutions based on programme requirements. * Develop strategies for product introduction at existing and new accounts by leveraging your signal integrity and electrical engineering expertise to support internal Sales Engineers. * Provide link simulation and evaluation of potential topologies, ensuring optimal performance for customer applications. * Create signal integrity strategies tailored to customer pinouts and routing challenges, addressing complex design needs with precision. * Collaborate with a dedicated team of signal integrity engineers and other specialists, fostering knowledge sharing and continuous improvement in methods and workflows. * Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to integrate various products across multiple divisions, ensuring seamless project execution. * Assist customers across diverse sectors by providing solutions for their high-speed data transmission requirements, demonstrating empathy and understanding of their unique challenges. * Design and evaluate next-generation production test platforms, contributing to the advancement of testing methodologies. * Support Production teams to maintain excellence in test and measurement standards, ensuring reliable outcomes for all products. * Identify and resolve signal integrity issues in PCB layout, applying circuit theory and high-speed digital transmission principles for effective troubleshooting. * Design, build, and measure circuit boards for product verification, utilising advanced techniques for accurate assessment. Familiarity with industry-standard simulation software like Ansys HFSS & Designer, CST Microwave Studio, HSPICE, MatLab or ADS is expected.
