What you'll do: As a Senior Signal Integrity Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the electrical performance of advanced electronic products from concept through production. Your day-to-day activities will involve close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams as you provide critical input on PCB stack-up configurations, constraint rule settings, and layout optimisations. You will leverage your expertise in simulation tools such as Cadence PowerSI, CST, ANSYS HFSS/Q3D/SIwave, as well as scripting languages like Python or TCL, to automate processes and deliver accurate analyses efficiently. Your responsibilities will also include hands-on measurement tasks using TDR/TDT methods and Delta L 4.0 techniques to validate theoretical models against real-world data. Success in this role requires not only technical excellence but also strong interpersonal skills—your ability to share insights openly with colleagues will help drive innovation while maintaining a supportive team atmosphere. * Design PCB stack-ups and set constraint rules to ensure optimal performance across various applications while collaborating closely with layout engineers. * Provide detailed signal integrity and power integrity design suggestions during PCB layout phases, supporting the creation of robust electronic systems. * Conduct comprehensive signal integrity analyses for both high-speed and low-speed signal interfaces using industry-leading simulation tools. * Optimise power integrity by analysing DC impedance, AC resonance, and capacitance requirements to enhance overall system reliability. * Utilise Cadence 2.5D EM solutions daily alongside AMD SeaSim/S2Eye and Intel ICAT/IMLC/CCT software to perform advanced simulations and verifications. * Automate complex software operations using TCL and Python scripts, generating insightful reports and performing Design of Experiments (DOE) analyses efficiently. * Demonstrate proficiency in PCB test coupon TDR/TDT measurements as well as Delta L 4.0 Measurement techniques to validate design assumptions. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware designers, layout engineers, and validation specialists to ensure seamless project execution. * Document findings clearly and communicate results effectively within the team to foster shared understanding and drive continuous improvement.
