What you'll do:

  • Oversee the firmware development team in designing, building, and refining innovative server firmware features that consistently deliver value to customers worldwide.
  • Facilitate seamless collaboration between firmware engineers and other departments such as hardware, software, QA, and product management to ensure projects are completed on schedule and meet all quality benchmarks.
  • Strategically plan resource allocation by assessing project requirements, managing workloads, and ensuring milestones are achieved efficiently without compromising on standards.
  • Define comprehensive firmware development strategies and roadmaps that support the organisation’s long-term goals while adapting to evolving industry trends and client needs.
  • Identify areas for process improvement within the division, implementing best practices that enhance productivity, operational efficiency, and overall team performance.

What you bring:

  • Demonstrate strong technical expertise in server firmware development with a deep understanding of embedded systems architecture relevant to BMC/BIOS solutions.
  • Show proven experience leading firmware engineering teams by setting clear goals, offering direction, and supporting results-driven outcomes through collaborative methods.
  • Exhibit outstanding ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including hardware designers, software developers, QA specialists, and product managers on complex projects.
  • Bring at least 8 years’ experience in server firmware development, coupled with at least 3years in direct management roles within engineering organisations.
  • Possess excellent communication skills for presenting ideas clearly to both internal stakeholders and external customers while engaging confidently in leadership settings.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to server firmware design and implementation.
  • Display exceptional analytical abilities for solving intricate problems under pressure while making thoughtful decisions in dynamic environments.
