What you'll do:
As the Chief Technology Officer, you will be responsible for driving innovation and shaping the future direction of our client's product portfolio. Your role will involve selecting new products that align with the company's growth strategy, building strong networks with research and development resources, and developing processes that meet manufacturing needs. You will also be tasked with hiring and training technical talents globally, integrating Artificial Intelligence into operations, and leading the company towards achieving its aspirations.
- Search and select new products, creating a product portfolio that aligns with future growth strategies.
- Build strong networks with research and development resources across Asia and globally.
- Choose the right technology and develop processes to meet manufacturing needs for the current to next 3-5 years.
- Hire and train technical talents globally, nurturing them to deliver product development and technology development needs.
- Integrate Artificial Intelligence into product, process and operation to optimise efficiency.
- Lead the company towards achieving its aspiration of solving customer problems with innovative technology and products.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Chief Technology Officer position will have a PHD or Master’s degree in Innovation, Materials Science, Engineering or related field. You should have a strong understanding of Innovation management, Hardware product development/knowledge on integration with software. Your ability to tell a good innovation story to market and investors will be crucial in this role. A willingness to take on challenges, grow in a dynamic environment, learn new skills, concepts, technologies for personal and organisational growth is essential. Proficiency in business English and Chinese is required; Japanese language skills would be an advantage.
