What you'll do:

  • Architect and deliver an in-house Android Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution fully compliant with Android Enterprise specifications, ensuring seamless control over enterprise devices.
  • Design and build scalable backend services using Java Spring Boot or Python on Kubernetes, focusing on high availability and orchestration of containerised microservices for robust performance.
  • Develop reliable bi-directional messaging pipelines utilising MQTT or WebSockets to enable real-time command execution between devices and servers.
  • Act as the primary technical liaison for OEM integration, collaborating closely with BSP teams to resolve hardware-specific SDK limitations and firmware compatibility challenges.
  • Adapt system architecture to meet evolving business needs while implementing comprehensive security protections and operational best practices for global deployment.
  • Lead technical analysis of complex specifications from Android Enterprise and OEM SDKs, translating requirements into functional code that meets stability and performance standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware vendors, factory operations, and software engineers to ensure successful project delivery in strict manufacturing environments.
  • Mentor junior developers by providing guidance on technical culture, coding standards, and best practices for scalable system design.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating new technologies and integrating them into existing infrastructure where appropriate.
  • Prepare detailed technical documentation in English for internal use and external collaboration with international partners.

What you bring:

  • Extensive experience (10+ years) in Android Native development using Kotlin or Java, with deep understanding of Android Frameworks and Device Policy Manager for enterprise-grade device control.
  • Proven proficiency in server-side development utilising Java Spring Boot or Python, capable of designing high-concurrency RESTful APIs suitable for large-scale applications.
  • Hands-on expertise with Kubernetes orchestration and Docker containerisation, managing microservices in production environments for optimal scalability.
  • Solid grasp of IoT protocols including MQTT and WebSockets, demonstrated through successful implementation of real-time device-to-server communication architectures.
  • Exceptional ability to analyse complex technical specifications from Android Enterprise or OEM SDKs and independently translate them into stable functional code.
  • Demonstrated capability to build systems independently from scratch without pre-existing teams or infrastructure support.
  • Track record as a Technical Lead or Engineering Manager with experience recruiting talent, mentoring junior developers, and fostering a collaborative technical culture.
  • High willingness to learn new industry domains rapidly—especially semiconductor manufacturing—and adapt solutions to stringent cleanroom protocols.
  • Professional proficiency in English required for preparing technical documentation, facilitating global collaboration, and negotiating with international hardware vendors.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills enabling effective teamwork across diverse cultural backgrounds.
