This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of manufacturing quality and automation, working with cutting-edge AI vision systems trusted by multiple factories worldwide.

What you'll do:

  • Guide and support a team responsible for backporting changes across various camera platforms to ensure readiness for a wider customer base.
  • Collaborate closely with leadership to prioritise and manage the technical feature roadmap for both existing and upcoming AI vision products.
  • Motivate, develop, and manage remote and hybrid engineers located in different regions, fostering effective cross-site teamwork between Brazil, Taiwan, and other remote teams.
  • Establish and maintain robust release structures while managing sprints and tracking performance metrics to guarantee predictable, high-quality software deliveries.
  • Define clear requirements, set context and priorities for projects, and communicate progress effectively to leadership and the broader engineering organisation.
  • Work seamlessly across multiple time zones to facilitate smooth collaboration between international teams based in Taiwan, the US, and other countries.
  • Periodically travel to support team members or engage directly with customers as needed to ensure project success.
  • Cultivate a culture of excellence and ownership among highly skilled individuals within a fast-paced startup environment focused on continuous improvement.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor of Engineering field with over 10 years of embedded system experience
  • At least 3 years of experience managing or leading software or firmware engineering teams within high-growth companies, demonstrating your commitment to collaborative development.
  • Familiar with Linux OS development
  • Proven track record delivering production-grade software products—ideally within embedded systems, computer vision, or industrial automation—showcasing your knowledgeability.
  • Experience setting up release structures, managing sprints effectively, and measuring engineering performance using reliable metrics.
  • Two or more years defining requirements, setting priorities collaboratively with stakeholders, and reporting progress transparently for leadership review.
  • Comfortable working across remote teams; able to manage ambiguity thoughtfully and make informed decisions even when information is incomplete.
  • Excellent English communication skills—both written and verbal—enabling you to connect empathetically with international colleagues.
  • Preferred: Experience creating scalable processes in startup or rapid-growth environments where flexibility is valued.
  • Preferred: Familiarity working in China or proficiency in Mandarin would be considered beneficial for cross-regional collaboration.
