What you'll do:
- Develop sophisticated signal processing and target tracking algorithms tailored for automotive millimeter-wave radar systems operating at 60 GHz, ensuring robust performance in real-world scenarios.
- Design and implement FMCW/MIMO radar front-end signal processing flows, including range/Doppler FFT, beamforming, CFAR, and advanced angle estimation techniques such as MUSIC, ESPRIT, and DOA.
- Create multi-target tracking and fusion algorithms using Kalman/EKF/UKF/IMM filters, JPDA, GNN, and other state-of-the-art methods to enhance detection accuracy.
- Embed and optimise algorithms for deployment on TI mmWave SDK and Infineon AURIX/AutoSAR environments using C/C++/DSP programming skills.
- Conduct offline radar signal analysis, annotate datasets, and verify models using MATLAB/Python tools to ensure high-quality algorithm performance.
- Collaborate closely with system and hardware teams to execute real-vehicle measurements, laboratory tests, and comprehensive performance evaluations.
- Prepare detailed algorithm design documents and test reports, presenting technical achievements during Design Review sessions to stakeholders.
- Stay abreast of cutting-edge literature and industry trends to continuously refine the Radar Perception Stack for optimal results.
What you bring:
- Master's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, Communications, Control Engineering or related field with over five years of relevant experience in radar algorithm development.
- Comprehensive understanding of TI AWR6xxx or Infineon BGT60 / RXS3x radar chip drivers and development processes gained through hands-on project work.
- Practical experience in range-Doppler map generation techniques as well as noise suppression strategies within automotive radar contexts.
- Expertise in angle estimation methodologies including FFT, MUSIC, Capon, ESPRIT applied to real-world signal processing challenges.
- Proven track record in target tracking using Kalman Filter (KF), Extended Kalman Filter (EKF), Unscented Kalman Filter (UKF), Particle Filter or similar approaches.
- Advanced proficiency in C/C++ embedded development with demonstrated optimisation skills for ARM/DSP platforms utilising SIMD instructions, DMA management and cache tuning.
- Ability to independently use MATLAB/Python (NumPy/SciPy/Matplotlib) for complex signal processing tasks and data analysis workflows.
- Excellent English technical document reading skills enabling effective participation in cross-departmental discussions with overseas clients or field application engineers.
