What you'll do:

• Conduct comprehensive functional, integration, and regression testing for EPD devices as well as Android-based systems to ensure robust performance across all platforms.
• Validate system behaviour by thoroughly examining application, platform, and hardware layers, guaranteeing seamless operation throughout the product lifecycle.
• Perform detailed power consumption, thermal, and performance tests on complete devices to maintain optimal efficiency and reliability under various conditions.
• Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts that streamline system validation processes and facilitate efficient regression testing cycles.
• Develop and sustain test frameworks or tools aimed at improving overall QA efficiency and supporting long-term quality objectives.
• Identify, document, and track defects using JIRA or similar bug-tracking systems, ensuring transparent communication of issues throughout the development process.
• Collaborate closely with software engineers, hardware specialists, and ODM teams to reproduce, analyse, and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
• Provide comprehensive test reports, logs, and metrics that inform release quality decisions and support continuous improvement initiatives within the team.
• Engage in cross-functional teamwork to share knowledge, address challenges collectively, and contribute to a dependable network of professionals focused on quality outcomes.

What you bring:

• At least three years of hands-on experience in hardware quality assurance, system validation, or consumer electronics testing environments where attention to detail is paramount.
• A strong understanding of Android system architecture combined with practical experience in device-level testing methodologies.
• Proficiency with established QA methodologies including test automation strategies and comprehensive test case design principles.
• Advanced skills in one or more scripting languages such as Python, Shell scripting, or Java for developing robust automated tests.
• Familiarity with Android testing tools like ADB, MonkeyRunner, JUnit or similar frameworks that facilitate effective device validation.
• Experience conducting power consumption measurements, thermal performance assessments, or evaluating overall system stability under varied conditions.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication abilities enabling clear reporting and effective collaboration across diverse teams.
• Previous exposure to EPD/E-Ink display device testing or similar embedded systems environments where precision is crucial.
• Competence in log analysis using tools such as logcat or kernel logs for diagnosing issues at both software and hardware levels.
• Experience integrating automated test frameworks into CI/CD pipelines for streamlined device testing workflows.
