What you'll do:
As a Sr. CMF Engineer based in Hsinchu, you will be entrusted with guiding the development of efficient manufacturing processes across multiple product categories. Your day-to-day activities will involve collaborating with talented colleagues from marketing, design, operations, and engineering disciplines to bring innovative concepts to life. You will evaluate early-stage manufacturing requirements, investigate advanced finishing techniques, manage supplier relationships for seamless process transitions into mass production, and uphold rigorous quality standards throughout. - Implement innovative ideas throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring efficient manufacturing processes from initial concept framing through to successful mass production.
- Lead or support key CMF technology projects that enable product diversity, inclusivity, sustainability, and customisation for a wide range of customers.
- Evaluate manufacturing processes during early stages of product development to define critical process requirements and ensure optimal outcomes.
- Investigate and validate new surface finishing processes, techniques, and equipment as appropriate for different product categories.
- Collaborate closely with Product Marketing, Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, and CMF design teams to perform engineering design of new products with careful materials selection and qualification.
- Manage relationships with moulding and CMF-related suppliers to guarantee smooth process ramp-up and mass production for new product introductions.
- Act as a consultant supporting ongoing supplier audits for new technology implementation and cost evaluation on existing technologies.
- Champion quality assurance by acting as the custodian of engineering design standards during trials and mass production phases.
- Synthesise data and present ideas logically to stakeholders across global teams, facilitating clear understanding and effective decision-making.
- Maintain proactive partnerships with key CMF suppliers while ensuring compliance with ISO auditing standards.

Your background should include hands-on experience with moulding technologies as well as painting or printing methods used for plastic decoration. - Minimum three years’ experience as a CMF or Mechanical Engineer within electronics or related industries such as sports goods involving moulding, painting, printing, or plastic decoration.
- Proven track record managing suppliers in high-volume production environments or small-batch manufacturing settings is considered highly advantageous.
- Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Chinese would be beneficial for effective communication within multicultural teams.
- Exceptional communication skills paired with demonstrated leadership abilities in global collaborative setups.
- Expertise in creative CMF engineering design during early product concept stages alongside multidisciplinary teams including design, marketing, operations, and other engineers.
- Ability to synthesise complex data sets and present ideas logically to facilitate shared understanding among stakeholders.
- Deep familiarity with materials science including plastics, metals, composites, flexible technologies, and more.
- Experience in colour management techniques as well as advanced finishing processes relevant to modern electronics manufacturing.
