What you'll do:

As a Thermal Engineer based in Taipei, you will be responsible for developing robust thermal solutions for a wide array of computing devices. Your day-to-day activities will involve planning system layouts that optimise heat dissipation, guiding fellow engineers through schematic design processes, analysing issues as they arise during development or testing phases, and providing practical recommendations for improvement. You will also supervise task progress at each stage of the project lifecycle—ensuring deadlines are met—and prepare comprehensive validation reports that document your findings. In this role, you will facilitate communication between departments and suppliers to guarantee seamless integration of thermal requirements into final products. By promoting knowledge sharing within the team and supporting supplier engagement activities, you will help maintain high standards of quality while contributing positively to the overall success of each project.

  • Design thermal solutions for notebook computers, all-in-one PCs, thin clients, and mini desktop products by applying advanced engineering principles and collaborating closely with product teams.
  • Plan comprehensive thermal strategies and system layouts while guiding engineers through detailed schematic design processes to ensure effective implementation.
  • Analyse complex thermal issues as they arise during development or testing phases and provide actionable improvement recommendations to resolve them efficiently.
  • Lead engineers in troubleshooting and resolving thermal-related challenges by offering clear direction and technical mentorship throughout each project stage.
  • Supervise and track progress on assigned tasks at every phase of the project lifecycle, ensuring timely completion of deliverables and maintaining high standards of quality.
  • Prepare thorough thermal validation reports for each project milestone, documenting findings clearly for internal review and external stakeholders as required.
  • Facilitate cross-departmental communication by acting as a liaison between engineering teams, suppliers, and other relevant parties to ensure alignment on thermal requirements.
  • Support supplier engagement activities by communicating technical needs effectively and fostering positive relationships that contribute to successful project outcomes.
  • Promote knowledge sharing within the team by organising discussions around best practices in thermal management and encouraging continuous learning among colleagues.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Thermal Engineer position brings proven experience in developing effective heat management solutions for electronic devices across different form factors. Your strong analytical approach enables you to identify underlying causes of technical challenges quickly while your excellent communication skills foster productive collaboration with both internal teams and external partners. You are comfortable preparing detailed documentation that supports decision-making at every stage of product development. Your willingness to mentor others contributes positively to team growth while your familiarity with supplier engagement ensures smooth project execution. A passion for knowledge sharing rounds out your profile—making you an asset not only technically but also interpersonally within the organisation.

  • Demonstrated experience in designing thermal solutions for electronic products such as notebooks, all-in-one PCs, thin clients or mini desktops is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in planning system layouts with a focus on optimising heat dissipation using industry-standard tools and methodologies is essential for this position.
  • Strong analytical skills are required for identifying root causes of thermal issues during product development or testing phases.
  • Excellent communication abilities are necessary for facilitating cross-functional collaboration with engineering teams, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Experience preparing detailed validation reports that clearly document findings at various stages of product development is important.
  • A background in mentoring or guiding junior engineers through technical challenges would be beneficial for this role.
  • Familiarity with supplier engagement processes—including communicating technical requirements—is advantageous.
