What you'll do:

As an Engineering Manager specialising in Product Design based in Taipei, you will be entrusted with steering a dynamic team through every stage of product creation—from initial concept discussions to final delivery. • Guide the design team through the complete product development cycle to deliver products optimised for quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery.

• Plan detailed development schedules and commit milestone timelines to Project Management while coordinating resources effectively.
• Determine design concepts, approaches, and topologies with your team by assessing resource needs and capabilities to meet completion dates within target costs.
• Facilitate regular meetings with customers to clarify requirements and address issues arising during development phases.
• Monitor programme status throughout the development cycle including cost control, schedule adherence, technical parameters such as electrical, mechanical, magnetics, PCB design, EMC compliance, materials selection, quality assurance, reliability testing, safety protocols, and manufacturability considerations.
• Lead problem-solving sessions when challenges arise by deciding on solutions that minimise potential impacts on project outcomes.
• Oversee technical support for sustaining models by providing advice on design-related production or field problems and reviewing customer change requests.
• Manage the design team by enhancing individual and collective performance through promoting teamwork, professionalism, discipline, resource planning for upcoming projects, organising roles based on expertise and workload, conducting annual appraisals, and offering training opportunities.
• Provide technical advice for Request for Quotation (RFQ) and Request for Information (RFI) cases by reviewing customer information/specifications and guiding engineers in drafting proposals.
