What you'll do:
As a Senior Product Engineer, your role will be pivotal in understanding requirements from various stakeholders including global teams, cross-functional teams and customers. You will be instrumental in providing innovative design solutions. Your expertise in creating 3D models and 2D concept drawings will be highly valued. You will manage BOMs effectively while communicating efficiently with customers. Your ability to perform mechanical design analysis, simulation, testing reports and DFMEA will be crucial in this role. You will conduct feasibility studies for new projects leveraging existing designs while also generating new designs. Your support towards internal design, engineering, prototyping and validation activities will contribute significantly towards the success of the organisation.
- Work with global team, cross functional team and customer to understand requirement and provide design solutions.
- Make significant contributions to design, development, and validation of different solutions (mainly on connector and cable design).
- Create 3D models, 2D concept drawings and modify them as required.
- Manage BOMs, review DFM with supplier, communicate with customer, clarify VOC with customer in short time.
- Perform mechanical design analysis, simulation, testing reports and DFMEA.
- Conduct feasibility studies for new projects leveraging existing designs while also generating new designs and IP.
- Support internal design, engineering, prototyping and validation activities.
What you bring:
As a Senior Product Engineer, you bring along a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and at least 3 years of related professional experience. Your ability to check internal documents and mail in English will be crucial for effective communication within the organisation. You possess a thorough understanding of the mechanical development process and have demonstrated troubleshooting abilities. Your proficiency in Engineering Design Software such as NX (preferred), AutoCAD etc. will be highly valued. You have knowledge in PCB, Finish, assembly process, product development process. Your ability to create and maintain databases based on existing component level and cable product level using office software like Excel is commendable. You are capable of creating guidelines and drawing templates according to customer’s needs.
