Our client is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable FPGA Engineer to join their team in Taipei. In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop and qualify Racks/server infrastructure in cloud data centres, including compute, storage, and GPU server. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, communicate technical issues effectively, and contribute to the design of new product features for the next generation. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in FPGA/CPLD development and experience with Intel and/or AMD x86 system architectures.

What you'll do:

As an FPGA Engineer, your primary responsibility will be developing and qualifying Racks/server infrastructure in cloud data centres. You'll be working closely with various teams, designing and implementing FPGA functions on server motherboards and related sub-cards. Your role will also involve completing FPGA code writing and implementation, building simulation platforms, executing simulation tests and onboard tests. Additionally, you'll be tasked with writing documents related to FPGA design and testing. You'll also support debugging FPGA-related problems throughout the entire development process.

  • Develop and qualify Racks/server infrastructure in cloud data centres
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including hardware engineers, firmware developers, customer engineering teams and vendor FAEs
  • Design and implement the FPGA function on the server motherboard and related sub cards
  • Complete FPGA code writing and implementation, build simulation platform, and execute simulation test and onboard test
  • Write documents related to FPGA design and testing
  • Support debugging FPGA related problems during the whole development process
  • Work with internal team to design new product features into next generation

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this FPGA Engineer position will hold a Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or another Engineering field. You should have at least 3 years of experience in FPGA/CPLD development. A solid understanding of Intel and/or AMD x86 system architectures is crucial for this role. Experience with Lattice, Xilinx, and Intel FPGA chips is also required. Lastly, proficiency in Verilog language is essential for success in this position.

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or other Engineering field
  • 3+ years of FPGA/CPLD development experience
  • Experience with Intel and/or AMD x86 system architectures, including processor and chipsets
  • Experience with Lattice, Xilinx and Intel FPGA chips
  • Experience in Verilog language
