Senior Environmental Engineer
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Environmental Engineer to make a positive global impact. The successful candidate will be responsible for integrating and combining the RoHS cert process from Sustainability, including the execution of the marking guide for all products & accessories.
What you'll do:
As a Senior Environmental Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting product compliance and other engineering functions. Your expertise will be crucial in achieving RoHS certification per country of sales and keeping related certificates up-to-date. You will manage renewals and define marking guides for new projects, working closely with the engineering team to ensure markings are implemented correctly. Ensuring timely implementation of related changes on all impacted products will also fall under your purview.
- Support Product Compliance Team and other engineering functions to address any environmental or hazardous substance related issues on products
- Achieve RoHS certificate per country of sales
- Keep related certificates up-to-date in the system
- Manage renewals, define marking guide for new projects
- Work with engineering team to ensure markings are implemented correctly on the products
- Ensure related changes are implemented on all impacted products before the effective date.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Senior Environmental Engineer role will hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, science or chemistry-related areas. With over 5 years of experience in the electronic industry and environmental-related area for consumer electronic devices worldwide, you have managed global environmental certification schemes including RoHS, REACH, WEEE, Prop 65, conflict minerals, post-consumer recycle materials among others. Your familiarity with SDoC maintenance and deep understanding of legislative requirements including marking is essential. A passion for compliance work coupled with a willingness to learn and take on challenging assignments is key. Flexibility in working hours along with fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking and listening) is required.

- 5 years+ work experience in the electronic industry and environmental related area for consumer electronic devices worldwide.
- 5 years+ in managing the global environmental certification scheme which include RoHS, REACH, WEEE, Prop 65, conflict minerals, post-consumer recycle materials and etc.
- Familiarity with SDoC maintenance and in-depth knowledge about legislation requirements including marking.
- Passionate about compliance work, and willing to learn and conquer challenging assignment
- Ability to work in flexible hours
- Fluent English in reading, writing, speaking and listening
