What you'll do:
As an Acoustic Technical Manager based in Hsinchu, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of audio products within a collaborative global team. Your daily responsibilities will involve leading complex acoustic hardware projects from conception through implementation, working alongside experts in various disciplines to deliver innovative solutions. You will be instrumental in optimising system performance through rigorous characterisation methods and close cooperation with algorithm developers. - Lead the development and implementation of acoustic hardware projects for products including speakers, headsets, and voice communication devices by guiding cross-functional teams through each stage of the process.
- Work collaboratively with transducer developers to optimise performance parameters and ensure high-quality audio output across all devices.
- Partner with mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, firmware, and digital signal processing teams to achieve seamless integration of audio components into new products.
- Characterise audio systems using both objective measurements and subjective listening tests to guarantee an outstanding end user experience.
- Collaborate with algorithm developers to refine audio and voice performance through precise tuning and optimisation techniques.
- Engage with engineering teams, in-house operations staff, OEMs/ODMs/CMs to resolve manufacturing challenges efficiently while maintaining product quality standards.
- Mentor junior engineers by sharing your expertise in acoustics and supporting their professional development within the team.
- Contribute actively to cross-functional meetings by providing insights on acoustic design considerations and helping shape project direction.
- Support validation processes by overseeing testing protocols for new products to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Participate in certification activities by preparing documentation and coordinating with relevant authorities as required.
