A global food service leader seeks a Finance Director in Taipei. Reporting to the Japan CFO, you’ll shape financial strategy, support senior management, oversee finance operations, and nurturing a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities:

As Finance Director, you will oversee all core finance functions while driving strategic decision-making and operational improvements. You will act as a trusted business partner to senior management and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with IFRS standards and supporting cost optimisation initiatives.

  • Oversee monthly, semiannual, and annual closing operations while ensuring compliance with local and international standards
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements under IFRS requirements and manage tax return processes efficiently
  • Drive budgeting, forecasting (FPA), and long-term financial planning aligned with organisational goals
  • Lead process improvements across finance systems and governance frameworks to enhance efficiency
  • Manage cash flow strategies and loan administration to ensure optimal liquidity for business operations

Candidate profile:

The ideal candidate is a technically proficient leader with substantial experience in finance operations within multinational organisations. You are collaborative, adaptable, and thrive in an inclusive workplace that values open communication and supportive leadership.

  • CPA qualification or equivalent accounting expertise is required for this role
  • Proven experience in IFRS reporting standards and preparing consolidated financial statements is essential
  • Strong track record in budgeting/forecasting (FPA) processes with a business-oriented mindset
  • Demonstrated success in implementing operational improvements such as change management or governance enhancements
  • Advanced business-level English skills are essential; fluency in Chinese is mandatory for effective communication across teams
