Cost Analyst

A leading organisation in in Taiwan seeks a Cost Analyst to develop new product cost models, collaborate cross-functionally, understand semiconductor fabrication, and contribute to innovation within a flexible, inclusive, and supportive workplace.

Key responsibilities:

As a Cost Analyst, you will create comprehensive semiconductor cost models from fabrication to testing, collaborating with engineering, finance, and operations to support new product introductions. Your responsibilities include:

• Develop detailed cost models for new products, covering wafer fabrication, assembly, testing, and production stages
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including engineering, finance, and operations—to ensure accurate documentation of production flows
• Analyse yield rates, process times, and other manufacturing cost factors using advanced software tools
• Present clear recommendations for cost optimisation to senior management through concise reports
• Participate in ongoing training initiatives to stay updated on semiconductor industry trends and costing strategies

Candidate profile:

The ideal Cost Analyst has semiconductor or engineering costing experience, strong analytical and Excel skills, effective cross-functional communication, dependability, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset to support new product development.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a semiconductor-related field is required
• Over five years of experience in product costing or engineering costing within the semiconductor industry
• Proficiency in semiconductor fabrication processes and test flow for accurate cost modelling
• Advanced Excel skills (e.g., macros and equations) and adaptability with software tools are essential
• Strong communication skills in English for presenting findings across diverse teams
