Senior Accountant - Accounts Payable

A leading global organisation is seeking a Senior Accountant – Accounts Payable to join their expanding team in Taiwan. This pivotal role offers you the opportunity to work at the heart of a collaborative and knowledgeable accounting department, supporting both domestic and international operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the complete lifecycle of production and inventory invoices, ensuring accurate processing from purchase requisition through to final payment across multiple entities.
  • Apply advanced understanding of three-way matching for production invoices within B2B processes, guaranteeing accuracy and compliance at every stage.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly statements, maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage the month-end close process by posting accrual entries and performing detailed reconciliations of accounts payable production clearing accounts.
  • Identify mismatches between invoices and goods receipts, collaborating with relevant teams to resolve issues promptly and ensure timely invoice processing.
  • Respond efficiently to all requests regarding account payables or general inquiries, providing clear communication and dependable support to both internal teams and external partners.
  • Maintain close coordination with production teams to resolve discrepancies, align budgets, and support comprehensive financial tracking for ongoing projects.
  • Oversee accounts payable processes for international entities, handling high volumes of multi-currency invoices and payments while ensuring compliance with local regulations.
  • Ensure adherence to local tax laws including VAT/GST, withholding tax, and country-specific invoicing requirements across all jurisdictions involved.
  • Collaborate with international offices, production teams, and regional finance partners to streamline cross-border AP workflows for maximum efficiency.

Key Requirements:

  • Possess a university degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics which underpins your technical knowledge of financial principles relevant to this role.
  • Demonstrate at least five years’ experience in accounting roles where you have managed complex accounts payable operations on an international scale.
  • Showcase strong experience handling multi-currency payments as well as familiarity with international AP operations involving high transaction volumes.
  • Exhibit advanced knowledge of invoicing procedures including purchase orders (POs), three-way matching techniques, contract reviews, and understanding of production cost structures.
  • Utilise advanced skills in Microsoft Excel along with practical experience using Word and Outlook for daily reporting and correspondence tasks.
  • Demonstrate hands-on experience working with accounting or ERP systems such as Oracle Fusion which enables efficient workflow management.
