Senior Accounting Manager

Our client is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to join their dynamic team in Taipei. This role offers an exciting opportunity to take full responsibility for T-IFRS and HQ accounting, reporting, and local business taxation topics. The successful candidate will have the chance to lead accounting-related transformation projects, manage and train accounting teammates, and act as a major internal/external contact point for effective communication and collaboration cross-functionally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day all accounting and tax accounting activities in compliance with HQ policy and local regulations.
• Supervise periodic and annual taxation declaration activities.
• Identify potential system improvements to better control framework and process simplification.
• Coordinate with external CPA for statutory reporting, tax filing, pension actuarial service and transfer-pricing reports.
• Build talent across the accounting team and support continuous improvement initiatives across the finance/controlling team.
• Act as major internal/external contact point or partnership with businesses for effective communication and collaboration cross-functionally.
• Proactively engage to maintain and improve a strong internal control environment to implement audit findings and mitigate accounting/taxation related risks.

Key Requirements:

• More than 10 years of accounting experience including at least 5 years of leadership experience in multiple international companies.
• Working experience in CPA and financial industries would be a plus.
• Good track record of working in cross-functional teams with the ability to deliver financial results.
• Ability to identify, design, and implement accounting processes for standard/regulations and new business initiatives.
• Experience in ERP project implementations. Experience in SAP implementation would be a plus.
• Strong cooperative team player who is eager to learn.
• Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
• Effective problem identification and solving skills.
